Test Restricted Blocks and Files

   

This is a public block. Everyone can view this. It can be an introduction to the content. It should include a note that the content below is for Members Only.

This block should be visible to anyone who is not logged in. Use this to prompt users to log in. (Set Visibility to ‘User Role” = Logged-out)

This block should be visible to anyone who is not logged in, but not the correct role. This is the “Sorry, you do not have the proper access level’ message. (Set Visibility to ‘User Role” = User Role, Role = Maxx Member only, and ‘Hide from selected roles’.)


Test plan

Test this page and the restricted blocks

Visit this page not logged in. Verify see the public block and not-logged in block.

Log in as non-member ([email protected]). Verify see the public block (and not the prompt to login, and not the restricted block).

Log in as member ([email protected]). Verify see the public block and restricted paragraph.

Test a page with restrictions at the page level

Start as a non-logged in user. Go to https://prod-idfa.rd.net/z-sandbox/test-restricted-page/

Log in as a non-member. You are taken to the page, but you see “Sorry, but you do not have permission to view this content.” (Message is editable in Members > Settings.)

Log in as member (with correct role) You are taken to the page and you see the restricted content.

Test a file
